Niangua River Canoe Trip

October 13th, meet at 5:00pm at the scout garage at Saint Peter’s, we will arrive at the campground and set up camp at 8:30pm with a cracker barrel Friday night. We will be at Riverfront Camp Ground. We can do an 8.5 or 15 mile float based on river conditions. This float trip will be later in the year than prior years so it may be a little colder, however we should hit fall colors at the peak and may have the river to ourselves! Bring some shoes to wear on the river (water shoes or old tennis shoes). Boys must wear a life jacket so you can bring your own coast guard approved life jacket or wear the ones they provide for free. No water guns.

Costs will be $35.00 per person for canoe and camping, meals and gas. Saturday morning, we will cook breakfast then get on the river. We will have lunch on the river and bus back to the campsite for supper. Sunday, we will have breakfast then head back to Kansas City, leaving the camp ground around 9:00 am and returning to Saint Peter’s around noon. Bring $ for a snack on the way home.
