Order of the Arrow Induction weekend – Camp Naish

The Troop will be attending the Order of the Arrow Induction weekend on August 11-13 at Camp Naish. This is an opportunity for those recently elected into the order to become Ordeal members, for current Ordeal members to seal their membership in the Order by becoming Brotherhood members, and for those not in the order to have a great leave-no-trace camping experience and continue to get advancement towards First Class. It promises to be a great weekend. A permission slip is attached.

Fees are as follows:

  • Elected Ordeal Candidates -$45
  • Current Ordeal members wishing to become Brotherhood members-$35 *
  • All other members* and non-members- $25

* 2017 OA dues must be paid

Now for the hard part. Because this campout is run by the council, we are required to register by at least Friday July 28th and there can be no late registrations. Therefore, if you want to attend, you must notify Mr. Palausky before that July 28th. You can do this either by adding your name to the sign-up sheet at the next Troop meeting (July 17) or by e-mail at [email protected]. All fees and permission slips will be due at the regular Troop meeting on August 7.

OA Dues
Did you see the asterisk above? Have you paid your 2017 OA dues? Dues are $15. To remain an active OA member, you must pay these dues every year. If you fail to pay your dues, you will be dropped from the OA roster. Additionally, If you want to attend the OA Induction campout you will need to have paid your dues or you will have to pay them at the campout. They check! So…. if you haven’t paid, please do so quickly.
